Simran Bagga (born was born on April 4, 1976) Rishibala Naval, is an Indian actress who has acted in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Malayalam films.She is one of the most popular south indian actresses.She was so popular that she was called as "Lady super star" of Kollywood.

Personal Life
Simran was born as the first daughter to Ashok Naval and Saradha Naval on April 4,1976. She is a punjabi. She has two sisters Monal(Actress who committed suicide) and Jyothi Naval and a brother Sumith. She finished her B.Com., in Mumbai and was doing modelling simultaneously. Then she came to film industry.

She married Deepak Bagga,chief pilot of Indian aviation, in punjabi style on december 2,2003. They are blessed with a son 'Adheep' born on june 11,2005.

Career
She made her debut in the Hindi film Sanam Harjai directed by Saawan Kumar. Jaya Bachchan (ABCL Corp) who saw her in "Superhit Muqabla" on Doordarshan’s Metro channel offered her a leading role in "Tere Mere Sapne".

She later on moved south by acting first in a high budget Malayalam film, Indraprastham with Megastar Mammootty in the lead role, and then to the Tamil movie industry and Telugu movie industry where she established herself as a bankable actress.She was called as the "Queen of kollywood". She became the Lady Super Star of Tamil film industry and ruled kollywood from 1998 to 2004.Her notable Tamil films include Kannethirae Thondrinaal and Parthen Rasithen opposite Prasanth, Thulladha Manamum Thullum and Priyamaanavale opposite vijay, Aval Varuvala and Vaali opposite Ajith Kumar,Nerukku Ner opposite Surya Sivakumar, Kannathil Muthamittal opposite Madhavan and Kovilpatti Veeralakshmi.Her notable Telugu films include Daddy opposite Chiranjeevi, Samarasimha Reddy,seema simham and narasimha naidu opposite balakrishna, Nuvvuvasthavani and Bava Nachadu opposite Nagarjuna and Yuvaraju opposite Mahesh Babu.She became the Highest paid south Indian actress by getting 75 lakhs for her last movie New in 2004.

She speaks Punjabi, Hindi, English, French and Tamil. Simran is a versatile dancer and can perform Bharatanatyam with the same ease as she performs Salsa.She enjoyed stupendous success in the Tamil film industry .She has acted in all kind of characters right from glam roles as in Vaali to family roles in Kannathil Muthamittal.Even her character in Kovilpatti Veeralakshmi as a tribal girl was very much spoken of. Her well spoken movies on acting performances are Thulladha Manamum Thullum, Vaali, Nuvvuvasthavani, Parthen Rasithen, Priyamaanavale, Bava Nachadu, Kannathil muthamittal and Pammal K. Sambandam.

Salary
During her peak years, Simran commanded a salary of 60 to 70 Lakhs per movie. Currently she is charging 25 to 30 lakhs per movie. Ocassionally she does product endorsements and charges about 25,000 rupees per appearence plus air fare to the location and back home to Delhi.
Trying for a come back right from year 2005(when she missed her chandramukhi because of her pregnancy), she was not successfull. But now with her Vaaranam Aayiram becoming a blockbuster, she has recived a good appreciation for her acting and she has increased her salary to 50 lakhs per movie.
